The following details come from the Barnet v Walthamstow Avenue programme 21st March 1959.

Brian Goymer - goalkeeper - 19. Stock Exchange clerk. When a West Ham youth player turned out for the FA Youth XI.

Jim Duncan - right back - 29. Came to Barnet from Wood Green. After going to live in Harlow turned out for Bishops Stortford, but re-joined Barnet in 1957/8.

Mickey Cooper - left back - 25. A former pupil of amateur international Tommy Leek (Moor Green & Barnet) at Buschurst Hill Grammer School. A Civil Servant. Had a short spell with Romford while serving in the army. Re-joined Barnet 1958/9. Represented Army, London, Herts and Middlesex Wanderers.

Roy Sleap - right half - 18. Former Edmonton and Middlesex schools player as a product of Barnets youth XI. An apprentice draughtsman, Roy signed amatuer forms for Tottenham Hotspurs

Alf D’Arcy - centre half - 24, England amateur international. A machine setter. Had short spell with Hounslow before retuning to Barnet. A former Barnet schoolboy, Alf has plated for London, Herts, Athenian League and the Middlesex Wanderers.

Bob Cantwell - left half - 19. After playing for Islington Schools turned out for the FA Youth XI when Arsenal junior. A carpenter. Has played for the FA, London FA and the Athenian League.

John Welch - outside right - Forward last season switched to wing when Bob Brown injured. Joined Barnet from a junior Wood Green side 1957/8. A stock keeper, yauhtsman, golfer and tennis player. Played for the Athenian League and the Herts. FA.

Denis D’Arcy - inside right - 25. Played for Hitchin and Hounslow before joining Barnet in 1951. An ex-Barnet schoolboy, Denis has played for England, London, Athenian League and the Middlesex Wanderers. A printer by trade.

Bob Brown - centre forward - 18. Son of old Barnet supporter, he joined Barnet in 1957/8 after leaving Batersea Grammer School. Salesman for a sports outfitter. Has represented the FA and Londons FA. Most sought after player by other professional clubs and Barnet’s current leading scorer.

Tony Harding - inside left - 19. Played for East Barnet Old Grammarians, Amatuer FA and Barnet. Insurance clerk by trade. Currently the cleverest ball player in the side.

Reg Finch - oustside left - 20. Brewers drayman by trade. Former Barnet junior (no relation to Lester Finch) who has also played for the Athenian League and Hertfordshire.

Brain Ridley - outside left - 26. Currently with St. Alban’s City but guest appearances for Barnet this season while various players are out injured (Cantwell, finch). Plumber by trade. Played for Hertfordshire aand Athenian League.

Dave Marshall - goalkeeper - 27. Sales representative by trade who joined Barnet from Redhill. Also played for Letchworth Town and has represented London, Surrey and the Spartan League.

Jeff Voyce - Right or Left Back - 23. A consistent club player. Joined Barnet from Finchley.

Roy Agar - Inside forward - joined Barnet 1954-5. A costings clerk by trade. Played for Swindon Town first team during his national service.
